Heather Halpern studied Art at the University of Oregon and Lane Community College in Eugene, as well as various colleges in California. She has attended drawing, painting, pastel, printmaking, ceramics, and glass workshops led by noted professionals.

Heather's work has been shown throughout the United States, as well as in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Her art has been selected for awards in regional shows, as well as nationwide competitions. Heather directs Whiteaker Printmakers, a nonprofit community printmaking art studio in Eugene, OR.

She shares her knowledge of drawing, painting (watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, and encaustic), printmaking, sculpting, stained glass, and knitting through private and group lessons at her studio and in other venues.
